National Running Day

Happy National Running Day Everyone!  
To celebrate I am starting Day One of the  
FIRST Run Less, Run Faster 1/2 marathon program.  
It is a training program that has you running three times a week - 
speed work, tempo run and long run
and cross training two or three other days of the week.

I am hoping this will keep me on track for the
Beach to Beacon 10K in August
Disneyland Half Marathon in September
& Disney's Wine & Dine Half Marathon in October

After that I will need to continue the momentum into training 
for my first marathon in January - eek!
Can't think of a better day to start the training process 
for my crazy (and fun) 8 months ahead!!

Have you tried the FIRST Run Less, Run Faster program before?  
Any tips/advice?

  1. I haven't tried it, but I've read other blogs where people have had a lot of success with RLRF! So good luck - I bet you'll enjoy it, too!

    Today I will run. I have no idea how far I'll be able to go, but I'm going to give it a go!
